<p><span style="font-size:16px;">On 11 May the "<a href="http://www.akademienunion.de/index.php?id=264/" onclick="window.open(this.href, 'Akademientag', 'resizable=no,status=no,location=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no,fullscreen=no,scrollbars=no,dependent=no'); return false;">Akademientag</a>" took place in Berlin. On this day, eight united&nbsp;Academies of Sciences in Germany came together in the <em><a href="http://www.bbaw.de/">Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften</a></em> to present their research to the public.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;"><img alt="" src="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/22947/Plakat+Akademientag/9c6823f6-fe25-48f0-82b9-40ca5aa0776e?t=1433951757000" style="width: 150px; height: 200px; float: left;" /></span></p> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-size:16px;">On behalf of our team participated Heike Behlmer, Frank Feder, Uwe-Karsten Plisch and Diliana Atanassova.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-size:16px;">Frank Feder, Malte Rosenau and Theresa Kohl prepared the <a data-lightbox="posterimg" href="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/22947/Plakat+Akademientag/9c6823f6-fe25-48f0-82b9-40ca5aa0776e?t=1433951757000">poster</a>, the <a href="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/23535/PuzzleDayGermanFlier.pdf/5b27e5f5-5606-4729-b82f-df556b593a68" target="_blank">flyer</a>, the <a href="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/23535/PuzzleDay.pdf/01e96b0f-e8dd-4782-9eb8-187d44038def" target="_blank">PowerPoint presentation</a>, and a puzzle.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">In the late afternoon, Frank Feder introduced our new project to the audience.&nbsp;<img alt="" src="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/22947/IMG_2960.jpeg/36490731-9af1-438a-8341-6c10dc4abd35?t=1433950999000" style="width: 160px; height: 218px; float: right;" /></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">By far, the most interesting was a <a data-lightbox="qwer" href="http://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/23411/IMG_2923.jpeg/3fdbef8d-99ff-4942-a9aa-89cb7aebc49c?version=1.0&amp;t=1433950996000&amp;imagePreview=1" rel="group">puzzle</a> of a Coptic manuscript parchment leaf from Berlin containing the beginning of the prophet Isaiah.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">Both <a data-lightbox="rtzb" href="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/22947/IMG_2936.jpeg/e7c53487-aaab-4dd0-8b3b-2657095f85f2?t=1433950996000&amp;imagePreview=1">pupils</a> and <a data-lightbox="rtzu" href="https://coptot.manuscriptroom.com/documents/10231/22947/IMG_2975.jpeg/21de122f-2a4f-4b6e-8ceb-1c43449c44bc?t=1433950999000">scholars</a> very much enjoyed putting the pieces of the puzzle together.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
