The Sahidic Standard Translation

This edition of the Coptic Old Testament represents a synthesis of the historical evidence, which is scattered and incomplete. Among the sources are usually fragmentary manuscripts with Biblical text, lectionaries, patristic references, and documentary texts.

In the case of the Sahidic Bible which is considered to be the oldest and most comprehensive Egyptian Bible translation project, the Sahidic Standard Translation available in the first part of the fifth century contained for the Old Testament part of the following books.
