The Sahidic Standard Translation
This edition of the Coptic Old Testament represents a synthesis of the historical evidence, which is scattered and incomplete. Among the sources are usually fragmentary manuscripts with Biblical text, lectionaries, patristic references, and documentary texts.
In the case of the Sahidic Bible which is considered to be the oldest and most comprehensive Egyptian Bible translation project, the Sahidic Standard Translation available in the first part of the fifth century contained for the Old Testament part the following books.

Introduction
The Digital Critical Edition of the Coptic (Sahidic) Old Testament is a collaborative and modular enterprise that is prepared and completed over more than 20 years.
A digital edition has the advantage to be deployed in batches after certain milestones have been reached.
In order to be fully transparent we offer live metrics on our main resources: manuscripts, manuscript metadata, transcriptions, and digital apparatuses.

The main focus of our edition is to include proper digital diplomatic editions of the individual manuscripts that are used for the edition and a Digital Critical apparatus presenting all the available Coptic evidence as well as a hypothesis about the Greek source text from which the Sahidic Bible was translated.
